More parts arrived today. Jegs 200 series Pushloc hose and hose ends. I will be running -8 from the fuel cell to the filter, then -6 from the pump to the regulator and a -6 from the regulator back to the fuel cell. I also ordered a Painless Wiring electric fuel pump relay kit and some -6 cushion clamps. I will have enough hose left over for any modifications down the road. Read more
The timing was stupidly retarded, but I was in too much of a hurry to get it fired to be bothered to pop the distributor out. The Holley Blue electric pump was also giving me trouble, but it still fired! Read more
I ordered some weatherpack connectors for rewiring the engine harness, as well as hooking up some of the new accessories. After ordering all of the ones above, I found a much cheaper source on eBay, and proceeded to order another $70 worth of connectors, which is more than enough to finish the build and give me plenty of spares. I think it will make for a much cleaner look and should prevent any annoying electrical gremlins in the future.
After searching and ordering multiple pumps, I finally found one that appears as if it will work. It’s off of a 97′ 2.4 liter Dodge Neon, as is the pulley. I will however have to convert the pressure side to a 16×1.5mm banjo bolt, and will need to fabricate the inlet fitting to connect it to the remote reservoir. In the photos you see the factory 3.9 liter pressure hose bolted to it, it will however not work as the Neon used a longer fitting of the same thread pitch. Read more
